Now, onto a yummy and easy lunch or snack. These little English Muffin treats are so good. I am not a big fan of tuna, but these made me love it. The melted cheese on top combined with the tuna - makes it absolutely delicious.
"Tuna Cheese Melts"
Ingredients:
3 cans (6 ounces) tuna, drained
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 - 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
3 cups (4 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese, divided
5 English muffins, split and toasted
Dash paprika

DIRECTIONS:
In a small bowl, combine the first five ingredients; stir in 1 cup cheese. Spread over each muffin half; sprinkle with remaining cheese and paprika. Place on a baking sheet. Broil 3-4 in. from the heat for 2-4 minutes or until lightly browned and cheese is melted. Yield: 5 servings

ReplyDeleteI love tuna melts! We make them frequently. I like the idea of using English muffins, we usually just use bread.

ReplyDeleteThese look so great! I love tuna, but never thought of making a melt on an English muffin, or using Worstershire sauce. I usually make my tuna with just mayo, lemon juice, and Old Bay seasoning. I'll have to try this sometime. :)
