Double L For Lewis and Lemons!

He knows how to melt your heart!

First I turn this way...

Then I turn that way!

Okay, back to baking...I'm sure you didn't mind the brief interruption while I spotlight Mr. Lew!
These Cinnamon Rolls were different in the making, the fact that you make the dough in the bread machine. But other than that, they were very tasty!

Here they are all frosted...
I've never made a Chiffon Cake before, so this was my first.
"Lemon Chiffon Cake"
Texture of the bread was deelicious plus the Lemon frosting makes this recipe a winner! My Dad thought the frosting by itself was yummy!

Slice anyone??

I received the "You Make My Day Award" from Ruth over at
I was pleasantly surprised to get this - thanks Ruth! I am going to pass it on to:
  1. My incredible knitting sister Miss Lisa
  2. Barbara over at Barbara Bakes
  3. Julia over at Dozen Flours
  4. Oiyi over at Oiyi's Crafts
  5. Rebekah over at Don't Call Me Becky
  6. Maria over at The Goddess's Kitchen

Enjoy guys!

The Cutest Puppy Ever....

Meet Lewis. My new Chocolate Lab...isn't he darling??

He is too cute! His buddy Clark, (no, they aren't the two who explored the west) isn't as pleased with him as I am!
Of course I baked and these donuts were know they are good when the boys eat a bunch of them!
Fruit Pizza is the best!
Last weekend I cooked and decorated this....I finally have this border down.

Lewis will be stealing the show here for awhile, I don't think he minds!!

I Am In The Cake Mood!

I finished my Wilton Course II Cake Class last Tuesday. I was taught how to make the flowers on the below cake and basket weaving. Basket weaving is lots of fun...just makes your hand very tired afterwards! I really like how "pink" my pink was...just the way I like it!

Introducing....the "Perfect Party Cake"
Yes, that is a "real" lit candle! I won't be updating my blog again until Sunday...not only will I be posting about the dessert(s) I made, but also about something I am getting that is seven weeks old and hairy. Do you know what it is?

Lemon Cake, Lemon Filling, Lemon Frosting...I'm Definately Lemon All Over!

I ran out of Lemon pudding so I used the Lemon frosting for the cake for the last layer...looks like a "giant" sandwhich!

Lemon peels add the finishing touch...and wa-la, here is the cake!
Thanks to my friend Jocelyn for this yummy recipe!~
