"Won Over Coffee Cake" (thanks to Jenny for the recipe)
1 Box Yellow Cake Mix (plus ingredients on back of box)
2 Sticks cold salted butter
2 1/4 Cups flour
1 1/2 Tablespoons cinnamon
1 ¾ Cups sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoons vanilla
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
PREHEAT oven to 350.PREPARE cake mixe in large bowl according to directions on box. Spray 9X13 pan with non-stick spray. Pour batter into pan. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until center is just barely set.WHILE cakes are baking, prepare crumb topping. In large bowl of electric mixer combine, butter, flour, cinnamon, sugar and vanilla until all crumbly.IMMEDIATELY after cake is removed from oven, break crumb topping into marble size pieces with fingers, sprinkling over top. Put back in oven and bake an additional 10-15 minutes (topping will begin to look a little less wet/raw). Let cool fully then dust with powdered sugar, using a sieve.CUT into squares and serve.

I bet your Mom (and family) love that you love to bake :)
yummy! I love all kinds of coffee cake. You are lucky to have a big family...if I ever attempted baking as much as you did, my husband and I would be twice as wide as we currently are : )
Oh wow, I definitely want to be "won over"! I will have to try that recipe soon. My parents are on a diet which means I eat what they eat( with a little bit more liberty than them because I don't need to be on a diet!), so I don't think that I should make it just yet. :-)
Yummy! you've won me over at first peek!!
I love coffee cake. The crumb topping is my favorite. Yours look fantastic.
Ohh that coffee cake looks wonderful. I'll have to keep that one on hand. So tell us more about your Italian Creme Cake. What didn't you like about it? did it have a cannoli filling?
OhioMom - yes, they do. but they sometimes think i bake a little "too" much!
Rebekah - coffee cakes are some of my favorites. ha ha...i wouldn't want to see you twice as wide!
Neesie - yeah, this isn't very good diet food. when you do try it let me know how you like it!
Lucy - i know, isn't that addicting?
Oiyi - i have come to always love the crumb topping too...glad you like the cake!
Julia - i'm sure this would be a hit. it didn't have a cannoli filling, the filling was actually the frosting - which was crushed pecans, powdered, sugar, butter, and i think cream cheese. i'm not sure what it was, but it didn't do the trick for me. but oh well...i am glad the rest liked it!
Yes I have! That looks delicious! I just made a rhubarb coffee cake the other day with a recipe from amstershiresauce's blog that was really good. This looks awesome too!
(:
I like that it uses a cake mix so it's easy!
I think I am won over! Great baking!
oh wow!! That looks so good! I'm gonna have to try to make that some time.
Blessings,
Jade
