Happy New Year & Good Saturday everyone! Hope you are enjoying these last days of the holidays. My break off school has been lots of fun and I am not ready for it to start on Monday. Yesterday, my Mom took my brothers and I snowboarding. We haven't gone snowboarding for a month due to road conditions and weather, so we were itching really bad to get out. It was a perfect and sunny day and we all had a blast! *Pictures below*
Onto some food. These peppers at #3 are so delicious you can't only eat one. The sausage mixture inside the peppers gives it an amazing flavor. We have these every New Years Eve and they have become a family favorite here. They get spicy but most of us love spicy here. Another recipe with a kick!
Sausage-Stuffed Jalapenos
Ingredients:
1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Parmesan cheese
22 large jalapeno pepper, halved lengthwise and seeded
Ranch salad dressing, optional
1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Parmesan cheese
22 large jalapeno pepper, halved lengthwise and seeded
Ranch salad dressing, optional
DIRECTIONS:
In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. In a small mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and Parmesan cheese; fold in sausage. Spoon about 1 tablespoonful into each jalapeno half. Place in two ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dishes. Bake, uncovered, at 425° for 15-20 minutes or until filling is lightly browned and bubbly. Serve with ranch dressing if desired. Yield: 44 appetizers.

Steven and Joe. They are better at the whole jumping thing. They don't have a fear of braking something or getting humiliated.
After snowboarding the next best thing is sleeping...hands down.
Have a great weekend and I'll see you with #2 next!

Love the snowboarding pics...it really does look like fun.
I think these would be a great healthier version for the deep fried version.
Sounds like you all had fun. Those stuffed Jalepenos look spicey!
I made jalapeno poppers once - too time consuming with all the dipping and breading and frying. I like your version much better and will put it on my Super Bowl menu.
Yikes! To spicy for me, but my husband would love these!
My husband would love these. I'll have to tell him about it, he makes a stuffed jalapeno with about the same ingredients, but it's kind of a pain to gut the peppers and still keep them whole. He also then wraps them in bacon and broils or grills them. He LOVES them. I'm a bit of a wimp and those peppers are too hot for me. Thanks for the recipe idea!
Those jalapenos look fabulous! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
Looks like you all had fun! Your jalapenos look so good! I make these all the time for my husband, except I stuff them with cream cheese and wrap them in bacon. So delicious.
Oh yum! I want some now.
my hubby would seriously go crazy over these!!!
Your snowboarding looks so fun! I made stuffed jalapenos last weekend - they were good, but some peppers were definitely spicier than others
I am not ready for school to start tomorrow either!
My husband is currently drooling over these! YUM!
Those are some great looking jalapenos! Yum!
These appetizers look so good... my husband would love them. I am glad you were able to go snowboarding.
I think I will have to put these on my Super Bowl Sunday list to serve, they will go like hotcakes. Great snowboarding pictures!
The stuffed peppers look amazing! I would love to give those a try.
I like the idea of putting sausage in there, can't wait to try them! I love all your pictures!!
yummy! I love stuffed peppers and sausage. I will definitely have to try these :)
I tried them and came out perfect. My man loved them. Definitely will be making more. Thank u for the recipe.
I think that if you take the seeds out and Devein? Then they're not that spicy. Not burning hot. I'm trying them this weekend
